little venture

"little venture" is a short platformer where you play as both a little dark rabbit-like creature named Rabitt, and a pink creature name Lóv (pronounced "love")

Rabitt is small and agile and can hold bombs, Lóv can't jump very high, but can walk through spikes, squeeze her way into walls (Lóv have no bones) and befriend fly enemies

Press Z/Space/A/Cross to jump 

Hold X/X key/Square to grab bombs(Rabitt) and befriend fly (Lóv)

Press select/B key to switch characters

Release R key/Y/Triagle to restart the stage 

You must get both characters inside the blue radius to go to  the next level

This is my Submmision for Gdevelop's second big Game Jam, the theme was "Pets and Companions" , I thought it would've been easy to think of something since designing characters and species is something I consider my specialty, but I ended up struggling to think of something, a whole day was spent on just coming up with a idea and then four more prototyping and level designing.

By Thursday I decided to just settle with what I had regardless of my satisfaction with it and started working on art, as a little treat to myself after not being able to do anything fancy for my GMTK Jam Submission, compared to while I only really spent 3 or so hours each day working on the game build, I spent nearly all of my time awake in the last three days working on art, more than anything, I just wanted to make a drawing you could play

I also did the music myself this time, though the sound effects are nearly all  from Kenney and David Streams, they were implemented at the final hours of the Jam so my mind was kinda under pressure
