Post-Jam Update!
6-ATO » Devlog
Now that the GMTK Game Jam is over, I decided to update 6-ATO to give it the features I couldn't add in time for the jam submission
- A health system, you get three hits before losing
- A small reaction window for enemies spawning
- A reworked method for spawn placement, enemies will never spawn behind a wall
- Sound effect for when enemies shoot
- Etc...
I basically approached it as if I had an extra day for polish, I was considering making nicer art for the sprites ended up not, the only new art assets are the player’s hurt expression and a little doodle for the game over screen, things such as the health, the enemy bullet sound and the spawn cloud(?) were actually made during the jam, I just couldn’t implement it in time
Overall, any more changes would basically have me completely redo the game, so I’d rather save those for when I decide to expand upon this premise
